Free Ship Aus Wide Over $80!

Sydney has so many dog events every year, but we are proud to say we believe the Swanky Paws Charity Book was one of the best!

To celebrate the amazing success of the campaign to raise money for RSPCA NSW, we wanted to share some of the highlights of how it all came to be and also display the best pictures.

The Swanky Paws charity book was ultimately a collaboration between Studio 1000 in Penrith and our doggy fashion label Swanky Paws. The goal of the campaign was to raise money for RSPCA NSW and give dog owners something to enjoy whilst COVID restrictions were in effect NSW wide.

To be a part of the experience, all participants needed to pay a $75 donation fee which was 100% donated to RSPCA NSW. The fee included a guaranteed feature in the book, the photoshoot, dog fashion for the day and more. If a custom dog outfit was needed we made it at a 50% discount to allow as many outfits to look different in the book as possible.

Because of the restrictions, people were not allowed to gather in groups so when  Studio1000 called and asked to work together, we realised it was the perfect way to host a fun event, without compromising peoples safety.

The work started on the Charity Book event in September and after a month of preparation the event was ready to go live.

The plan was to get 100 dogs dressed in amazing Swanky Paws outfits and take amazing photos to create a professional quality coffee table book. To keep the event COVID safe the decision was made to do the photo shoots in dedicated sessions to keep the numbers in studio low.

Because of the incredibly large amount of dogs that needed to photographed in individual sessions, the event needed to run until the end of December. This was to allow time for all of the custom dog outfits to be made and all the photo sessions to be planned.

Much to our surprise, word seemed to get out about the charity book event very quickly. We even managed to get an incredible list of Sydney celebrities involved to support the amazing cause.

Among the celebrities were-

– Karim Gharbi- @karim_sydney

– Matty Samaei- @mattysamaei

– Christa Billich- @christa.billich

– Shelly Horton- @shellyhorton1

– Instagram famous dog @badgal_peaches (84.7k followers)

– Chad Hurstt- Big Brother Winner

In the first month we managed to book nearly half of the photo shoot time slots and by the end of November all 100 spots were filled, we just needed to photograph them.

Here are some of the highlights for you all to enjoy, and yes we are considering doing it all over again next year!
